to Bundaberg
This DVD video production shows trains at work on the North Coast line between Brisbane and North Bundaberg.
A line from Maryborough to the rich gold-mining town of Gympie opened in 1881. Brisbane was linked to Maryborough,
and on to Bundaberg in 1891. The whole North Coast line to Cairns was not completed until 1924. It was electrified
to Rockhampton in 1988-9. |
